STEPS IN THE PARTNER TOOLKIT
|
The PARTNER Toolkit provides a step-by-step process that can help your community make thoughtful policy, system, and environmental changes that improve citizens’ ability to walk and bike to everyday destinations.
Anyone can use this Toolkit. The PARTNER Toolkit can be used by organizations, engineers, coalitions, and civic leaders, regardless of their expertise in active travel. The resources are designed to support you in developing a technical document without having a technical background. Use this Toolkit in two ways. One option is to follow it from start to finish, which will guide you in developing an Active Transportation Action Plan. Another option is to jump straight to a specific active transportation planning topic of technique to use in your community. The toolkit is organized into multiple steps to help you however you need it. This Toolkit is interactive. Every step in the process is supported with resources that prompt you with ideas to consider, offers opportunities to reflect, or provides instructions for implementation. Request a hard copy of the Toolkit to write in, highlight key points, and mark up as you brainstorm with fellow community stakeholders. |
